We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated individual with strong manual machining skills to support the repair and maintenance of CAT machinery.

Overview

• Operate manual machines such as lathes, milling machines, and honing machines.
• Reclaim and refurbish old or damaged parts and components.
• Manufacture new parts and components.
• Plan manufacturing jobs, selecting appropriate machinery, tooling, and processes to meet quality and accuracy standards.
• Collaborate with the drawing office and provide feedback for part creation or modification.
• Ensure tooling activities comply with company procedures.

Requirements

• Experience operating manual machines, including milling, turning, and drilling.
• Proficiency working to tight tolerances.
• Assess and check old parts and components before remanufacturing.
• Use hand tools and measurement equipment such as Verniers, callipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Train other engineers in manual machine operation.

Education

Apprentice-trained (NVQ / City and Guilds) or equivalent time served experience.
