Job summary

Marmon Lift Recruitment Ltd in Stoke-on-Trent is recruiting an experienced Manual Machinist to operate manual/conventional lathes (XYZ preferred), read engineering drawings, and produce components to tight tolerances.

You will work with a solid manufacturing team in a role focused on quality, problem solving, and continuous improvement, with a Monday-Thursday 7am-5pm schedule and overtime available on Friday to Sunday. The role offers pay up to £17 per hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in manual/conventional machining is essential.
• Experience using a manual lathe (XYZ) is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Solid manufacturing background with a focus on quality.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual/conventional lathes, preferably XYZ.

Location: Stoke-on-Trent, North Staffordshire

Rate: Up to £17 per hour

Hours: Monday-Thursday 7am-5pm, with Friday, Saturday and Sunday overtime available

Marmon Lift Recruitment is working with an established manufacturing business seeking an experienced Manual / Conventional Machinist to join their machining team in Stoke-on-Trent, North Staffordshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a practical and hands-on machinist to join an established manufacturing environment, working with manual lathes, preferably XYZ, and producing components accurately to engineering drawings and required specifications. This role suits someone with a solid manufacturing background who is confident working independently, solving problems and maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.

Manual Machinist Responsibilities:

• Operate manual / conventional lathes, preferably XYZ

The Ideal Manual Machinist:

• Previous experience in a manual / conventional machining environment - ESSENTIAL
• Experience using a manual lathe - ESSENTIAL
• Experience with XYZ lathes - PREFERRED
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings - ESSENTIAL
• Solid manufacturing background - ESSENTIAL
• Hands-on and proactive attitude with a strong team spirit - ESSENTIAL
