Job description

We are looking for a skilled Manual Machinist with substantial experience in manual/conventional (non-CNC) Turning, Milling, and Boring machines.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a well-established, multi-branch electro/mechanical engineering business based in Liverpool. The position includes overtime and occasional site work. Additionally, there are opportunities to develop your skills through training in electro-mechanical services unique to this business.

The company boasts a thriving mechanical engineering workshop in Liverpool capable of providing comprehensive electro-mechanical services. Working hours are from 08:00 to 16:30, Monday to Friday, with overtime available and on-call duties once every four or five weeks during busy periods. Night shift work (16:30 to 01:00) is also available, either on a permanent or rotating basis.

Duties Will Include

• Manufacturing and repairing parts using manual (non-CNC) lathes, milling, and boring machines.
• Working overtime as workload and emergency requirements dictate.
• Providing cover during on-call periods (one week in four or five).
• Mostly workshop-based with occasional on-site work.
• Training in new techniques and skill sets will be provided as needed.
• Participation in a structured development program with an incremental pay structure.
