Job description

Role Summary:

Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments. Includes fabrication, modification, or repair of mechanical instruments, machine parts, or industrial machines, applying knowledge of mechanics, mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures.

Your role:
  1. Operating Machine or Equipment: Operate basic equipment and machines and carry out routine tasks.
  2. Operations Management: Follow established processes to carry out operational tasks.
  3. Equipment Maintenance and Repair: Assist in maintaining and repairing equipment through preparations and support.
  4. Health, Safety, and Environment: Adhere to mandatory work instructions to ensure safety and environmental protection.
  5. Operational Compliance: Follow procedures to meet quality standards and comply with regulatory and internal codes.
  6. Precision Equipment Utilization: Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, dial indicators, and depth gauges.
  7. Instructions and Drawings: Read and interpret blueprints and geometric tolerances.
  8. Internal Communications: Communicate courteously with team members and stakeholders.
  9. Policy and Procedures: Understand and align with organizational policies and strategies with guidance.
  10. Other duties as assigned.
Your Profile:
  • Verbal Communication: Use clear and effective communication skills.
  • Planning and Organizing: Plan, organize, and prioritize tasks efficiently with guidance.
  • Health and Safety: Apply basic concepts of safe work systems.
  • Equipment Experience: 2+ years of machining experience with manual lathes, milling machines, or CNC equipment in manufacturing or repair environments.
  • Education and Experience: HS Diploma / GED with 3-5 years of relevant experience.
