An exciting opportunity has arisen to support the Trust with the safe and effective management of manual handling and back care. This post will report to the Head of Health and Safety and is based within the Trust Health and Safety Team.

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual with significant experience in manual handling and back care to join the Trust Health and Safety Team.

This post will be based in Nottingham (other options may be available), with work across all Trusts sites to support the Teams in meeting their statutory responsibilities and manual handling needs.

You will require significant experience of producing and delivering training, supported by a relevant training qualification.

You will be required to provide specialist support to the Trust on all aspects of manual handing, providing support for implementing the Trusts Manual Handling Policy.

Knowledge of relevant patient safety and manual handling processes, documents and current legislation is essential along with experience of the practical application of manual handling in a range of environments with a varied patient group.

To provide a specialist manual handling advisory, educational and support service across Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust as part of a Health and Safety Advisory Team.

To support the Trust Learning and Organisational Development Team with the design and implementation of manual handling safety training for all Trust staff.

Providing expert advice across all departments and to the Trust Learning and Organisational Development trainers on all aspects of manual handling in order to assist the Trust in meeting current legislation and best practice guidance. Support Clinical Teams as part of a multidisciplinary approach to meet patient and staff needs across all aspects of manual handling and to promote musculoskeletal health.
