Job summary

Cosworth Group Holdings Limited is seeking a Forge Manual Operator to manufacture high‑performance forged pistons for aerospace and automotive customers. You will set up and operate the forge, follow SOPs, work with hot materials, and perform quality checks using precision equipment.

The role requires interpreting technical instructions, reading work orders, and maintaining records. The position is a 12‑month fixed‑term contract with alternating early/late shifts and an 18.5% shift allowance.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, interpret and communicate technical information.
• Read and understand work instructions.
• Basic understanding of aerospace quality standards.
• Basic numerical and computer skills.
• Effective communicator both verbal and written.
• Automotive experience/background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setting, preparing and operating the forge.
• Manufacture forged pistons following SOPs.
• Handle hot material with care and precision.
• Use die grinders, linishers, aqua and dry blast machines.
• Use basic measuring equipment to verify components meet requirements.
• Clean and maintain equipment and tooling after use.
• Perform TPM on all equipment and maintain records.
• Suggest improvements to methods, processes and tooling.
• Consider health, safety, environmental and energy impacts of all activities.
• Support GDPR compliance by following company policy.
