Dumbleton Hall is seeking a Restaurant Waiter/Waitress to bring warmth and polish to every table in a historic English estate. You will welcome guests by name, guide recommendations across the menu and wine list, and ensure impeccable service across breakfast, lunch, tea, and dinner.

The role emphasizes guest-focused hospitality, teamwork, and attention to detail in a storied setting, with opportunities to learn silver service and fine dining at busy events.

Qualifications

• Warm, articulate, and genuinely guest-focused.
• Previous restaurant or table service experience is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and seat guests, making them feel like honoured guests of the family.
• Take food and drink orders accurately and offer recommendations.
• Deliver table service to a high standard with suitable timing and presentation.
• Set up and break down the dining room to Hall standards.
• Adapt service style across breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner.
• Coordinate with kitchen and bar teams for smooth service.
• Support weddings and private events as part of the events team.
• Handle guest queries and dietary or allergen needs with care.
• Process payments and maintain accurate records where required.
• Uphold health, safety, and food hygiene standards at all times.
