Job summary

Sudlows in Manchester is seeking an experienced Project Planner to develop programmes and schedules for tender and delivery, reporting into the pre-construction manager. The role supports production planning for modular buildings and conveyance systems across large-scale projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum 5 years planning experience on major infrastructure, building, or industrial projects.
• Advanced knowledge of Primavera P6 or Asta and Microsoft Project is essential.
• Strong understanding of project controls, scheduling techniques, earned value management, and risk analysis.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and/or Asta or Microsoft Project.
• Prepare baseline programmes, resource-loaded schedules, and progress updates.
• Monitor project performance against key milestones and identify schedule risks.
• Produce critical path analyses, look-ahead programmes, and recovery plans.
• Coordinate planning activities with project managers, engineering teams, procurement, and subcontractors.
• Prepare weekly and monthly planning reports for senior management and clients.
• Support change management, delay analysis, and extension of time submissions where required.
• Ensure compliance with contractual planning requirements and company procedures.
