Job summary

Imperium Financial Recruitment is assisting a Manchester-based insolvency specialist in finding an appointment-taking Insolvency Practitioner. You will manage a large volume of IVA cases, ensuring compliance and efficient progression across cases.

In this role you will chair Meetings of Creditors, oversee IVA milestones, provide technical guidance to case teams, review proposals and closures, and collaborate with senior management to drive growth in the IVA division.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Insolvency Practitioner license.
• Proven experience as appointment-taking IP on volume IVAs.
• Strong knowledge of IVA legislation and regulatory standards.
• Experience in high-volume, process-driven IVA environments.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Act as appointment-taking Insolvency Practitioner on volume IVA cases
• Chair and oversee Meetings of Creditors and key IVA milestones
• Ensure all appointments comply with regulatory and statutory requirements
• Provide technical oversight and guidance to IVA case administration teams
• Review and sign off proposals, reports, variations, and closures
• Liaise with creditors, regulators, and internal stakeholders as required
• Support compliance, audit, and quality assurance processes
• Contribute to process improvement and operational efficiency within the IVA function
