Job summary

William James Recruitment is representing a well-regarded commercial law firm seeking a Corporate Associate to join its growing Manchester office. The role offers exposure to a broad corporate portfolio, hands-on involvement in transactions, and close collaboration with partners who are committed to developing the team.

You will handle complex private M&A, governance and advisory work, draft and negotiate documents, and build lasting client relationships while contributing to business

Qualifications

• Solid background in corporate law (1-5PQE) within a recognised corporate team.
• Strong technical ability across M&A and wider corporate advisory work.
• Excellent organisation, attention to detail and the ability to manage a busy caseload.
• Positive, client-focused mindset and an interest in contributing to team development.

Responsibilities

• Managing private M&A transactions, group restructurings, JV and other corporate projects.
• Advising on corporate governance, regulatory considerations and general corporate advisory.
• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of corporate documentation.
• Developing strong and lasting client relationships through clear, proactive communication.
• Contributing to business development and helping to shape the continued growth of the Corporate department.
