Mark43 is hiring a Cybersecurity Specialist for our Manchester office. You will be the on-site security decision-maker, owning vulnerability and threat management, coordinating with global teams, and supporting day-to-day IT needs in the office.

The role requires solid 5+ years in cybersecurity, strong incident response, and familiarity with SIEM, vulnerability scanners, and Windows networking. You will join a remote-friendly company with on-site office presence and on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of cybersecurity experience, with strong focus on vulnerability and threat management.
• Awareness of UK data protection requirements and frameworks (Cyber Essentials, ISO 27001) is a welcome bonus.
• Ability to work on-site in Manchester and coordinate with a global Cybersecurity team across time zones.

Responsibilities

• Owns vulnerability management program end to end: scans, risk-based prioritization, remediation tracking.
• Researches emerging threats and translates threat intel into actionable guidance.
• Leads security incident response: triage, containment, cross-team coordination, post-incident review.
