CNA Hardy in Manchester is seeking a Senior Underwriter to strengthen our National Accounts Property team. You will underwrite a broad range of risks within the North West region, applying guidelines and regulatory rules while seeking practical, profitable solutions.

You will participate in pricing discussions, prepare quotations, and maintain broker relationships, collaborating with senior underwriters on complex cases and ensuring adherence to authority limits.

Qualifications

• Broad knowledge of underwriting and insurance industry practices.
• Strong regulatory and legal awareness relevant to underwriting.
• Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Underwrites a broad range of moderate and complex risks in the National Accounts Property book.
• Define pricing based on financial and competitive analysis and guidelines.
• Prepare quotations and respond to Brokers and policyholders, negotiating favorable outcomes.
• Communicate with brokers, provide guidance, and support cross-sell opportunities.
• Monitor risks, generate reports, and maintain broker relationships.
• Work with senior underwriters on risks beyond authority and assist other areas as needed.
