Job summary

Fortem Solutions Limited in Swindon is seeking a proactive finance professional to maximise cash flow and manage monthly invoicing, CVR, CVC and management accounts. You will ensure accurate forecasts, support data-driven decisions and align IT interfaces with contract conditions to strengthen financial controls.

Key requirements include strong data interrogation and advanced Excel skills, a QS degree or equivalent, and line-management experience. UK driving licence is also required.

• QS degree or equivalent training, or substantial experience in contracts.
• Line management experience and strong negotiation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Maximise cash flow through monthly invoicing and timely cash collection.
• Monitor and analyse management information and job cost vs revenue.
• Produce CVR, CVC and management accounts with robust cost control.
• Ensure IT integration between client systems and Fortem is aligned with contracts.
• Set annual budgets and conduct periodic reviews with commercial leads.

What You Will

Maximise cash flow through monthly invoicing, the implementation of appropriate procedures to resolve client queries and ensuring cash is received when due. Monitoring and analysis of management information and job cost against job revenue, supporting the operations and finance and enablement of data driven decision making. Ensure Accurate Cashflow Forecasts and Revenue profiles are in place and are accurate and updated regularly. Prepare and produce financial reports, including Cost Value Reconciliations (CVR), Cost Value Comparison (CVC) and management accounts, providing governance of budgets through robust cost control. Ensure the IT integration between the client's system and Fortem's is aligned to increase productivity and financial controls in-line with the contract conditions. Ensure budgets are set and shared with the commercial leads annually along with carrying out full reviews periodically when required.

Need Essential

• Excellent data interrogation skills

• QS degree or equivalent training or a minimum of 5 years relevant contract experience
