Job summary

Aldwych Consulting seeks a Managing Quantity Surveyor to advance from the Senior level in civil engineering/infrastructure projects. The role covers commercial leadership, cost control and strategy across the Suffolk portfolio with occasional travel to Kent.

You will oversee procurement, subcontractor payments and final accounts, ensuring accurate CVR reporting and risk management while mentoring junior commercial team members.

Qualifications

• Senior Quantity Surveyor with civil engineering or infrastructure experience.
• Experience managing project costs, subcontractors and commercial reporting.
• Willing to progress to Managing Quantity Surveyor and lead junior staff.

Responsibilities

I'm working with a client looking for an ambitious Senior Quantity Surveyor ready to take the next step into a Managing Quantity Surveyor role.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to progress their career, take on greater commercial responsibility and develop their leadership skills across civil engineering and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

What we're looking for:

• An experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering or infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of NEC contracts.
• Experience managing project costs, subcontractors and commercial reporting.
• Someone keen to progress into a Managing Quantity Surveyor position.
• Strong communication, commercial and organisational skills.
• Flexibility to travel between Suffolk and Kent as required.
