Job summary

Conrad Consulting Ltd in Glasgow is seeking an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor to take overall commercial responsibility for a portfolio of civil engineering and infrastructure projects. You will lead a team of Quantity Surveyors and Assistant Quantity Surveyors and work closely with operational teams.

Qualifications

  • Significant Quantity Surveying experience within civil engineering, utilities or infrastructure.
  • Experience operating at Managing or Senior Quantity Surveyor level.
  • Strong commercial and contractual knowledge.
  • Experience managing and developing junior commercial staff.
  • Strong understanding of NEC contracts.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Commercially astute with strong attention to detail.
  • Relevant degree/HNC/HND or equivalent experience.

  • Manage change control and ensure contractual entitlement is protected.
  • Work closely with operational teams, clients and supply chain partners.
  • Produce accurate monthly commercial reports and forecasts.
  • Support senior management with commercial strategy and business planning.
  • Ensure projects are delivered in line with commercial and contractual requirements.

Managing Quantity Surveyor

Location: Glasgow / Central Scotland

Permanent | Full-time

Our client is a well-established contractor delivering a range of civil engineering, utilities and infrastructure projects across Scotland. Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, they are looking to appoint an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor to take responsibility for the commercial management of key projects.

The Role:
