You will oversee cost planning, forecasting, and final accounts, mentoring the commercial team, and driving procurement strategy while working with senior stakeholders to optimise value and protect margins. A Tier 1 or major contractor background is preferred.

Managing Quantity Surveyor - Buildings - Education Framework

Location: London and the south east

We are seeking an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established Building team, supporting the commercial delivery of projects across the south east.

You will lead a commercial team, providing direction, mentoring, and oversight while working closely with operational and leadership teams to maximise value and protect margin. This role offers significant autonomy and influence across project and business unit performance.

As a Managing Quantity Surveyor, you will be an established commercial leader with strong experience delivering complex construction projects within a Tier 1 or major contractor environment.

• Lead the commercial management of major projects or a portfolio of schemes, ensuring financial success


• Oversee cost planning, forecasting, valuations, variations, and final account negotiations


• Provide leadership and mentoring to the commercial team, supporting development and performance


• Drive procurement strategy and subcontractor management to achieve best value and risk mitigation


• Work closely with senior stakeholders to influence commercial strategy and project outcomes

You will be an established commercial leader with strong experience delivering complex construction projects within a Tier 1 or major contractor environment.
