Job summary

SER Limited in Chorley is seeking a Managing Quantity Surveyor to lead the commercial delivery across North West civil engineering projects. Based at Chorley Office, you will work closely with operational teams to drive performance, manage risk and support project delivery.

The role requires taking ownership from pre-construction through final accounts, delivering CVRs, cost reporting, cash flow and procurement, while mentoring junior QS and building client relationships.

Qualifications

• Must have extensive experience delivering commercial aspects from pre-construction to final account.
• Strong experience with CVR, cost reporting and forecasting.
• Proven ability to manage procurement and subcontractors.
• Expertise in NEC contracts and change control.
• Ability to develop commercial teams and support site delivery.

Managing Quantity Surveyor - Civil Engineering

Chorley Office | North West

£80,000-£87,500 + full package

A brilliant opportunity has just come available with one of the strongest and most well-respected civil engineering businesses in the North West.

Due to a last-minute change, they are now looking to move quickly and bring in an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor to lead the commercial delivery of their North West projects.

This is not a role where you will be sat in the background. You will be heavily involved with the operational teams, driving commercial performance, managing risk, supporting project delivery and leading the commercial function across a range of civil engineering schemes.

They are looking for someone who can confidently manage:

• Commercial delivery from pre-construction through to final account
• CVRs, cost reporting, forecasting and cash flow
• Procurement and subcontractor management
• Change control, variations, compensation events and claims
• NEC contracts
• Commercial teams and junior QS development
• Strong relationships with clients, site teams and directors

This would suit an established Managing QS, or a very strong Senior QS who is ready to take that next step with a proper business behind them.
