Job summary

Adecco Group UK & Ireland is seeking a commercially minded Managing Partner - Finance & Strategy on a part-time basis to own the finance function and shape growth. The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on financial analysis across SaaS or tech-enabled operations.

You will work with the CEO and leadership team to assess operations, implement scalable financial infrastructure, and drive transformation from planning to execution.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in senior finance, commercial finance or financial leadership.

Responsibilities

• Finance Function Ownership & Transformation: Take full ownership of the finance function, support growth ambitions, review systems, processes and controls, identify gaps and build scalable infrastructure.
• Lead Cash Flow, Forecasting & Financial Planning: manage liquidity planning, budgets, models and scenario plans to inform decisions.
• Own P&L and Commercial Performance: analyse results, improve margins, set KPIs and review pricing and investments.
• Drive Business Strategy & Growth: partner with CEO on financial strategy, assess revenue streams and scalable structures.
• Oversee Technology, Systems & Scalability: implement scalable finance processes and automate reporting.
• Lead as a Business Partner: collaborate with senior leadership, influence decisions and develop the finance team.

Managing Partner - Finance & Strategy

Part-time role

We are seeking a commercially minded finance leader to take ownership of the finance function and shape the next phase of business growth.

This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone combining financial expertise, commercial judgement and strategic thinking with the ability to scale a business.

Ideally, you will have experience in SaaS, technology or a high-growth environment, where cash flow, profitability, forecasting and scalable systems are essential.

Working with the CEO and leadership team, you will assess operations, identify improvements and implement the financial infrastructure, processes and strategy needed for expansion.

This is not a traditional finance role focused on historical reporting. We need someone who looks ahead, challenges existing thinking and delivers meaningful change.

Key Responsibilities

Finance Function Ownership & Transformation

Take full ownership of the finance function, supporting the company's growth ambitions.

Review financial systems, processes, reporting, controls and team capabilities.

Identify gaps, establish priorities and implement improvements.

Build scalable financial infrastructure and strengthen accountability.

Lead financial transformation from assessment through to delivery.

Cash Flow, Forecasting & Financial Planning

Manage cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning and working capital.

Develop budgets, financial models, forecasts and scenario plans.

Anticipate funding requirements, investment needs and financial pressures.

Introduce forecasting processes to support informed decisions.

Ensure growth plans have realistic financial and resource planning.

P&L Ownership & Commercial Performance

Own P&L performance, including revenue, costs, margins and profitability.

Analyse results, identify trends and challenge underperformance.

Work with commercial and operational teams to improve margins and efficiency.

Establish meaningful KPIs and management reporting.

Review pricing, contracts, investment decisions and commercial opportunities.

Translate financial information into recommendations that improve performance.

Business Strategy & Growth

Partner with the CEO to develop and deliver financial and commercial strategy.

Understand the business model, revenue streams, customers and operating costs.

Identify changes required to support sustainable growth.

Assess whether structures, resources and processes can support expansion.

Develop business cases and financial plans for strategic initiatives.

Challenge existing approaches and turn opportunities into action.

Technology, Systems & Scalability

Review finance systems to improve reporting, automation and efficiency.

Implement scalable processes delivering accurate financial information.

Strengthen forecasting and reporting as the business grows.

Collaborate with internal teams and external partners on improvements.

Apply knowledge of SaaS, technology or digital business models where relevant.

Leadership & Business Partnership

Act as a strategic partner to the CEO and senior leadership team.

Lead financial decisions, establish priorities and own outcomes.

Build and develop the finance team and wider financial capabilities.

Promote commercial awareness, accountability and informed decisions.

Build relationships while confidently challenging senior stakeholders.

About You

Significant experience in senior finance, commercial finance or financial leadership.

Ideally, experience within SaaS, technology or a high-growth business.

Strong P&L management, cash flow forecasting, budgeting and financial modelling skills.

Proven experience building, restructuring or transforming a finance function.

Excellent understanding of revenue, costs, margins and profitability.

Experience implementing financial systems, processes and reporting.

ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualifications would be advantageous, although commercial capability, strategic thinking and the ability to deliver change are equally important.
