Managing Director, Transaction Banking Solutions - Specialist Sales

Position Overview

We are seeking a Managing Director to lead our Transaction Banking Solutions Specialist Sales team, responsible for driving revenue and providing subject matter expertise across our specialist Transaction Banking products.

The role involves leading specialist product sales, driving strategic direction, optimizing resources, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, complex new business opportunities.

Team Composition

The Specialist Sales team includes ECA, Commodity Trade Finance, Asset and Invoice Finance, Distribution, Commercial Cards, Data, and Merchant Acquiring.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Achieve revenue targets by collaborating with the Transaction Banking Solutions Corporate and Institutional Sales teams.
  2. Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy across the portfolio.
  3. Lead and develop a high-performing, specialist team through performance management, feedback, and coaching.
  4. Ensure compliance with group policies and regulatory requirements, while managing commercial risks.
  5. Build and maintain relationships with C-suite senior client executives.
  6. Expand professional networks to support business growth.
  7. Identify opportunities for change to enhance customer and commercial outcomes.
  8. Oversee sales pipeline and revenue analysis processes.
  9. Shape and deliver marketing initiatives and participate in industry events.
  10. Develop new client relationships and maintain existing ones to ensure trust and loyalty.
Candidate Profile
  • Extensive experience in sales with deep knowledge of Transaction Banking products.
  • Proven success in developing and delivering new business opportunities.
  • Strong understanding of customer needs and market feedback for product development.
  • Knowledge of credit and risk management.
  • Experience managing strategic client relationships using large account teams.
  • Ability to engage with senior leaders and develop strategic solutions.
  • Capability to recognize opportunities across complex products and implement solutions.
  • Excellent people management skills, self-motivated, and influential.
