JOB TITLE: Managing Director, Transaction Banking Solutions – Institutional Sales

LOCATION: London

HOURS: Full Time

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, involving at least two days per week, or 40% of your time, in the office.

About this opportunity

We’re seeking a Managing Director to lead our Transaction Banking Solutions Institutional Sales team, which is pivotal in driving revenue across our comprehensive Transaction Banking Solutions product suite.

As Managing Director, you’ll assume overall responsibility for revenue generation, origination efforts across all transaction banking products, and will drive strategic direction delivering high-quality new business opportunities.

Your accountabilities will include:
  1. Achieving revenue by identifying and driving opportunities to support our Transaction Banking Solutions business.
  2. Developing & driving the delivery of a market-leading, joined-up sales strategy across the Group’s global portfolio of Institutional clients.
  3. Leading a high-performing team, developing colleagues through stretching performance objectives, feedback, and coaching. Collaborating with internal teams and product partners to execute strategy and maximize opportunities.
  4. Ensuring adherence to group policy and regulatory requirements to protect customers and the Group, while monitoring and mitigating commercial risks.
  5. Building relationships with C-suite Senior Client Executives.
  6. Proactively building and maintaining networks to support business delivery.
  7. Identifying opportunities for and leading change to improve customer and commercial outcomes.
  8. Overseeing the sales pipeline and revenue analysis processes, ensuring they meet goals and objectives.
  9. Serving as a senior professional expert to shape marketing plans and industry engagement.
  10. Targeting prospective customers to develop new relationships and win new business, while nurturing existing client relationships.

What you’ll need
  • Extensive experience in Transaction Banking sales, with in-depth product knowledge and established relationships in the Institutional client segment.
  • A proven track record of developing new business and maintaining existing client relationships.
  • Strong knowledge of the customer base and competitive environment, providing feedback for product development and solutions.
  • Understanding of credit and risk management in the context of institutional clients, trade, and cash management products.
  • Experience managing strategic client relationships, using large account teams to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Ability to represent the organization at industry events and forums.
  • Experience developing strategic solutions to complex, long-term business challenges.
  • Ability to engage with senior leaders to understand strategic challenges.
  • Capability to share and embed best practices across the Group.
