Our client is a market-leading and award-winning technology business experiencing an exciting period of growth and change. The company provides innovative technology solutions across various industries including gaming, technology, manufacturing, entertainment, and healthcare, with opportunities to expand into new sectors. We are assisting in recruiting a Managing Director for their largest division, which has a £40m turnover and aims to double in size. The role has full accountability for the division's commercial, product delivery, development, and operational functions. It is part of the Senior Leadership Team, working closely with the Board.

Role Summary

Due to the company's plans for significant growth, we are seeking a new Managing Director to lead the business forward.

Headquartered in the UK, the company operates globally with a £40m turnover and has ambitious plans to double its size over the next five years. The business has recently developed a new technology with substantial growth potential worldwide. The incoming Managing Director will be an experienced, highly commercial leader with a proven track record of increasing profitability and expanding technology businesses. Reporting to the Group CEO, this is a key role with full P&L and strategic responsibilities for the division.

Essential Experience

• A Degree-qualified senior leader with prior experience as a Managing Director, Commercial Director, Chief Commercial Officer, or similar, with a strong reputation with clients. The candidate should have P&L responsibility managing revenues over £30m and a successful, demonstrable track record.
• Extensive commercial experience and success in leading and transforming global sales teams, both direct and indirect.
• Proven leadership experience within a multinational environment.
• Experience in Product Development, including Hardware and Software, Innovation, R&D, and Go-To-Market strategies.
• Knowledge of technologies such as VR, AR, motion capture, spatial computing, computer vision, machine learning, AI, or Generative AI.
• A desire to work in fast-paced, evolving environments.
• Willingness and ability to travel globally to company offices and customer sites.
