Job summary

CSS seeks a Manager-Technology Support Services to lead a team of experienced technical professionals delivering expert support to internal and external customers. You will implement measurable annual performance objectives in collaboration with the Director and Senior Director and drive service excellence in data centre operations.

Responsibilities include guiding M&E design, coordinating training, improving processes, reporting KPIs, and developing documentation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or commensurate years of technical experience.
  • Licenses/Certificates/Designations required.
  • 10+ years of experience in design, implementation and/or commissioning.
  • 3+ years of experience speaking with strong presentation skills.
  • 2+ years of experience leading a team of up to 4 direct reports.
  • Working knowledge of data centre mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
  • RAMS and safe systems of work knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to internal and external customers while managing a team of subject matter expert.
  • Coordinate vendor training activities for team and others within the Technology and Support Services (TSS) organization.
  • Strive for continual improvement with team organization, processes and procedures.
  • Maintain reporting of key performance indicators (KPI).
  • Develop customer-facing and internal documentation on best practices, troubleshooting flowcharts, training materials and FAQs to ensure consistent customer experience.
  • Communicate with Engineering, Applications Engineering, Marketing, Category Management, Supply Chain Services, and Quality Assurance divisions of any product problems, opportunities, or emerging customer needs.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and leadership for data centre mechanical and electrical (M&E) support activities, including power distribution, UPS, generators, cooling, airflow management, and environmental monitoring systems.
  • Support data centre project lifecycle activities, including design review, implementation, testing, commissioning, documentation handover, and operational readiness, working collaboratively with internal teams, partners, and customers
  • Review, understand, and contribute to RAMS to ensure safe execution of installation, maintenance, and commissioning activities within live data centre and critical infrastructure environments.
  • Act as a technical escalation point for data centre M&E-related issues, supporting root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives

Required Experience
  • Minimum 12 years experience in the technical field of expertise in design, implementation and/or commissioning
  • Experience supporting data centre or critical infrastructure environments, including exposure to mechanical and electrical systems design, implementation, and/or commissioning.
  • 3 years experience in public speaking with strong presentation skills
Qualifications
  • Associates’/ Bachelor's degree /College Diploma or commensurate years of technical experience required
  • Licenses/Certificates/Designations required
  • 10+ years of experience in the technical field of expertise in design, implementation and/or commissioning
  • 3+ years of experience speaking with strong presentation skills
  • 2+ years of experience leading a team of up to 4 direct reports preferred
  • Possess a customer-centric mindset
  • Possess advanced computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills and the ability to make decisions within the designated area of responsibility
  • AutoCAD 2D or AutoCAD Inventor preferred
  • BISCI RCDD, OSP, NTS and/or DCDC or Industry Equivalent preferred
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
  • Working knowledge of data centre mechanical and electrical systems, including LV/MV power distribution, UPS, standby generation, cooling technologies, and resilience principles.
  • Strong understanding of safe systems of work, including RAMS, permit-to-work processes, and contractor management in live operational environments.
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation, method statements, and project specifications to support operational and customer outcomes.
