Base Location: London plus network of 20 offices nationally

The KPMG Strategy & Performance Transformation function is a key part of our Deal Advisory business. Operating from London, we provide impactful work, serving the UK with expertise and diligence.

Within the Strategy & Performance Transformation team, we are subject matter experts responsible for supporting clients from developing acquisition strategies and raising funds to deal execution and integration.

We seek exceptional candidates for a Manager role, focusing on the Consumer, Retail & Leisure industry, with strong experience in Deal Strategy. Additional expertise in Growth Strategy, Cost & Operational Strategy, and Enterprise Transformation is advantageous.

The team is part of KPMG’s expanding Strategy Group, delivering value through innovative thinking, industry insights, and rigorous execution. We are a diverse team of over 150 practitioners collaborating across KPMG’s Advisory capabilities.

What will you be doing?

• Act as a credible client liaison, developing long-term relationships and representing the firm
• Design and manage projects, especially M&A-related workstreams like Commercial Due Diligence, M&A Strategy, and Value Creation
• Produce high-quality deliverables with minimal review
• Develop innovative solutions to complex problems within team and client contexts
• Build detailed financial/business models, perform scenario analysis, and guide junior team members
• Contribute to internal practice matters and business development activities
• Ensure adherence to risk management frameworks

What will you need to do it?

• Proven experience in strategy consulting, Big 4, or corporate development
• Understanding of value drivers in the Consumer sector; experience from other sectors is also relevant
• Experience leading workstreams or projects, including managing teams and economics
• Recent M&A transaction experience, such as CDD, VDD, or Value Creation projects
• Experience in developing proposals, scopes, and pricing for consulting assignments
• Supportive role in business development, including pitch delivery and insights generation
• Effective collaboration skills and relationship-building with stakeholders
• Experience with internal responsibilities like team management and technical tools
