Job Description: Responsible for the technical development of software engineering staff within a Discover application development area while using your technical expertise to drive vision into action and results.

Develops and coaches teams to identify, manage, and escalate risk, effectively managing risk within the teams.

Responsibilities

• Hire, retain, and lead a high-functioning, diverse group of engineering professionals, establishing clear objectives and key results, developing consistent practices and processes across the team, and resolving challenging problems. This includes performance management, feedback, reviews, and managing software ownership from concept to continuous improvement.
• Lead and shape the technical vision within the domain, act as a leader in the Discover engineering community, influence architecture, and ensure adherence to regulatory, compliance, and audit requirements. Define technical standards, tools, and practices within the domain.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to allocate team members effectively to meet business and product objectives.
• Engage with internal and external communities to share knowledge, promote innovation, and enhance the Discover Technology brand.
• Contribute technically within a product team, designing, developing, and maintaining quality technology solutions, and developing subject matter expertise.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Technology, Business, or related field
• Experience with Application Development or related areas
• In lieu of education, relevant Application Development experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in People Leadership
