Job description

Plant Delivery Mobilisation Manager

Rolls Royce SMR is on a mission to deliver clean, affordable energy for all. As the leading Small Modular Reactor programme in Europe, we’re building a British solution to a global energy challenge and shaping one of the country’s most significant green export opportunities. Now that we reached this pivotal point in our growth and development we need to hire a Plant Delivery Mobilisation Manager to co-ordinate and deliver mobilisation and readiness activities for a defined Sub-Area within the Plant Delivery organisation.

Specifically this will involve:

  • Creating and owning detailed delivery plans, actions, risks and readiness metrics
  • Co-ordinating activities across engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain and operations teams
  • Proactively identifying, tracking and managing tasks, issues, assumptions and dependencies

We seek an thorough, proactive and resilient professional who will have had exposure in regulated or safety‑critical environments (as you would expect nuclear know‑how will be of great interest to us, whilst those from defence, aerospace and energy sectors may all have transferable capability). We will need your experience and knowledge in the following areas:

  • Mobilisation, industrialisation, operations, programme delivery, operational readiness and/or new product introduction activities, ideally in a complex engineering environment
  • The coordination of complex work activities, schedules, risks, dependencies and stakeholder actions and meeting delivery objectives
  • The application of established business processes, governance frameworks and delivery methodologies whilst driving continuous improvement initiatives

The above is but a summary, a full role profile is available from Alex Jordan (I am easy to find on LinkedIn) and the closing date for applications is 27-September-2026.
