What are we looking for?

Carne Group is looking for a UK Operations & CASS Oversight Manager to support the UK Operations Team by interacting and overseeing the processes undertaken by our delegated Transfer Agencies and Fund Administrators in relation to the UK ACD's Funds, engaging with the teams therein to ensure a high level of service delivery and in accordance with the regulatory requirements.
The role will be based in the London office. Ideal candidates will be ambitious professionals who are seeking to build their careers in a dynamic and fast-growing environment.

What are the minimum requirements you need for the role?

  • Minimum of 5 years of financial service experience, ideally in the operational aspects of UK authorised and unauthorised funds.
  • An understanding of the operational processes performed by Transfer Agencies and Fund Administration providers for UK Funds.
  • Experience of operational processes of an asset management business.
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of the CASS regulatory requirements.
  • Experience of managing CASS processes provided by TA providers.
  • Have a good knowledge of Excel and a mindset to automate.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide oversight, exercise sound judgment in decision-making, and deliver clear, actionable reporting on findings.

What is your role and responsibilities?

  • Ongoing monitoring of delegates and service providers for the UK ACD Funds, including Transfer Agent and Fund Accounting activities, in line with the agreed Service Level Agreement and Key Performance Indicators.
  • The day-to-day oversight for all CGFMUK Funds, ensuring that all fund reporting is received and recorded on a timely basis and appropriate actions initiated as required.
  • Support the preparation and delivery of requisite reporting to appropriate parties, Fund Oversight Committee and fund regulators within prescribed deadlines.
  • Review and approval of Fair Value or Swing Pricing assessments as required.
  • Review and approval of both pre and post NAV review including fund budget.
  • Assist with oversight of client money reconciliation breaks.
  • Gather MI required by the Fund's Oversight Committee.
  • Monitor the operations procedural review cycle ensuring updates and required approvals are secured.
  • Oversight of Client Money reconciliations breaks
  • Review and submission of CMAR Returns
  • Review & Sign Off Fund Expense Payments
  • Manage Investor Shortfall Requirements
  • Ensure outsourced providers' CASS processes and controls are detailed and in line with business and regulatory requirements
  • Periodic review of CASS resolution packs and Client Money Acknowledgment Letters
  • Manage and supervise the content of all retail complaints to measure and CASS Impact
  • Ensure all regulatory returns are submitted accurately and on time
  • Review and sign off internal and external delegate SLAs/KPIs
  • Provide subject matter expertise to any RFPs and due diligence
  • Provide operational support to the Onboarding Team in relation to new Sponsor Fund launches.
  • Provide operational support in relation to existing Sponsor Fund changes.
  • Adapt to new tasks and processes requiring support from the Team ensuring that they are implemented and continuously performed to the required standards.
  • Escalate to the Head of Operations, UK as required in accordance with the UK Operations Escalation Procedure.
