Job summary

The Isle of Man Financial Services Authority is seeking a Manager - Non-Life Insurance in the Prudential Supervision Division to oversee a diverse portfolio of regulated entities handling £5bn of policyholder assets. The role requires extensive experience in operational, actuarial, compliance, assurance, risk or audit, with deep knowledge of the Non-Life sector and related regulation.

Job description

The Isle of Man Financial Services Authority ("the Authority") regulates firms engaged in financial activities, including insurance, pensions, banking, investments, fiduciary services, and fund administration. The Authority is also responsible for oversight of anti-money laundering and countering the financing of terrorism (AML/CFT) compliance for those involved in the financial sector as well as a range of other Designated Businesses and has oversight of compliance with the Beneficial Ownership Act 2017.

MANAGER - NON- LIFE INSURANCE (PRUDENTIAL SUPERVISION)

An opportunity has arisen at the Authority for the role of Manager - Non-Life Insurance in the Prudential Supervision Division. This role offers a rewarding position for the right candidate, to work as a part of diverse team supervising over 130 regulated entities and overseeing a sector that manages £5bn of policyholder assets.

Extensive industry experience in an operational, actuarial, compliance, assurance, risk or audit role, together with a well-developed knowledge of the Non-Life Insurance sector, including associated legislation, regulation and guidance, are essential.

The successful candidate should hold, or be willing to work towards, a professional qualification relevant to the financial services industry. Strong analytical skills, a flexible attitude and the ability to quickly and accurately assimilate and present information are all also essential.
