Job summary

The Isle of Man Financial Services Authority is seeking a Head of Insurance – Prudential Supervision to lead the regulatory regime for the Island’s insurance sector. You will shape policy, drive supervision delivery and collaborate with colleagues across a high-performing team.

This senior role requires extensive leadership experience in insurance regulation and a professional financial services qualification, with a strong focus on risk management and regulatory excellence.

• Deep knowledge of Insurance legislation, guidance and regulatory practices.

Job description

The Isle of Man Financial Services Authority ("the Authority") regulates firms engaged in financial activities, including insurance, pensions, banking, investments, fiduciary services and fund administration. The Authority is also responsible for oversight of anti-money laundering and countering the financing of terrorism (AML/CFT) compliance for those involved in the financial sector as well as a range of other Designated Businesses and has oversight of compliance with the Beneficial Ownership Act 2017.

HEAD OF INSURANCE – PRUDENTIAL SUPERVISION

An exciting and dynamic opportunity has arisen at the Authority for the role of Head of Insurance - within the Prudential Supervision Division. This role offers a stimulating and rewarding position for the right candidate with responsibility for overseeing the regulatory framework applicable to the Island’s insurance sector.

The successful candidate will have extensive relevant industry experience in an operational, actuarial, compliance, insurance, risk, regulatory or audit/accounting role and extensive experience in a strategic leadership/management role with the ability to work in a collaborative style. Also essential is extensive working knowledge of the Insurance sector and associated legislation, regulation and guidance and a professional qualification relevant to the financial services industry.
