Job summary

EY’s Private Tax team in the UK is seeking a motivated tax professional to join the Management Taxes and Transactions group, supporting owner-managed businesses, PE-backed teams and listed clients. Based in Manchester with options across London, Glasgow or Edinburgh, you’ll develop client relationships and deliver technically demanding advisory projects.

You’ll work with senior colleagues to win new business, coach junior staff and contribute to people initiatives.

Qualifications

• ACA, CTA, or equivalent tax qualification.
• Strong tax technical skills and ability to deliver complex advisory work.
• Business development skills to identify and convert opportunities.
• Experience coaching and developing junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with clients
• Proactive business development to win new work
• Manage delivery of technically complex consulting projects for clients
• Provide development support to junior members through supervision and mentoring
• Contribute to people initiatives, including training staff
