Job summary

Intact Insurance (formerly RSA) is seeking an experienced DevOps leader to head our DevOps & Automation Platform Services. You will guide globally distributed teams, shape tooling and CI/CD strategy, and ensure secure, scalable, and reliable platforms as part of our technology transformation.

You will oversee DevOps strategy, platform governance, and vendor relationships while driving automation and best practices across multi‑cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in DevOps engineering, tooling or platform delivery.
• Experience managing geographically distributed DevOps teams.
• Strong understanding of Azure cloud and cloud-native engineering.
• Background in PaaS/SaaS/IaaS and enterprise platforms.

• Lead DevOps engineers, Tooling Product Owners and cross‑functional teams across UK & India.
• Own strategy and roadmap for DevOps, CI/CD, Automation and Tooling platforms.
• Oversee platform performance, availability, compliance and lifecycle management.
• Drive automation, optimization, and adoption of best‑practice DevOps engineering.
• Ensure high‑quality delivery of programmes, operations, releases and CI/CD governance.
• Manage vendor performance and third‑party delivery.
• Collaborate with architects and portfolio teams to align tech with business needs.
• Mitigate risks, support audits and ensure security, regulatory and governance standards.

Role Purpose:

We're looking for an experienced DevOps leader to take responsibility for of our DevOps & Automation Platform Services function. You'll lead globally distributed teams, shape our tooling and CI/CD strategy, and ensure our platforms are secure, scalable and reliable. This is a high‑impact role at the heart of our technology transformation.

You'll make an impact by:

• Lead DevOps engineers, Tooling Product Owners and cross‑functional teams across UK & India.
• Have responsibility for the strategy and roadmap for DevOps, CI/CD, Automation and Tooling platforms.
• Oversee platform performance, availability, compliance and lifecycle management.
• Drive automation, optimisation, and adoption of best‑practice DevOps engineering.
• Ensure high‑quality delivery of programmes, operations, releases and CI/CD governance.
• Manage vendor performance and third‑party delivery.
• Collaborate with architects, senior colleagues and portfolio teams to align tech with business needs.
• Mitigate risks, support audits and ensure adherence to security, regulatory and governance standards.

Your skills and experience:

• Extensive experience in DevOps engineering, tooling, automation or platform delivery.
• Experience managing geographically distributed DevOps teams.
• In depth understanding of Azure cloud and cloud‑native engineering
• Excellent background in PaaS, SaaS, IaaS, cloud architecture and enterprise platforms.
• Ability to drive automation, improve processes and optimise platform performance
• Experience delivering complex, large‑scale, multi‑cloud or multi‑tenant solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to lead major programmes, stakeholder engagement and vendor management.
• Comfortable working in fast‑paced, global organisations with matrix structures
