Job summary

Sanderson is recruiting a DevOps Engineer (Platform Automation) on a 6-month contract to support a major platform engineering transformation. The role focuses on modernising software delivery, security automation and cloud platforms, with hybrid working.

You will design, build and enhance CI/CD platforms, drive DevSecOps adoption, develop IaC, support IAM and security controls, and collaborate with multiple teams to deliver scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong background in DevOps, Platform Engineering or SRE.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation and Infrastructure-as-Code.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms, container technologies and enterprise infrastructure.

DevOps Engineer (Platform Automation)

6-Month Contract £500-£550 per day Inside IR35 Hybrid Working

We're supporting a large enterprise organisation embarking on a major platform engineering and automation transformation. They're looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join a high-performing team focused on modernising software delivery, security automation and cloud platforms.

The Role

• Design, build and enhance enterprise CI/CD platforms and automation solutions.
• Drive DevSecOps adoption through security, compliance and governance automation.
• Develop Infrastructure-as-Code and platform engineering capabilities.
• Support IAM, access management and security controls.
• Improve observability, monitoring and platform reliability.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, database and security teams to deliver scalable engineering solutions.

Experience Required

• Strong background in DevOps, Platform Engineering or SRE.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation and Infrastructure-as-Code.
• Experience with tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, Python, PowerShell or Bash.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms, container technologies and enterprise infrastructure.
• Understanding of DevSecOps, security automation and governance frameworks.
• Experience working within large-scale, complex enterprise environments.
