Job summary

Omnicom Media Group Europe (OMG EMEA) seeks a Manager to own the day-to-day operation of a global marketing taxonomy governance service. The role ensures taxonomy standards, data dictionaries and naming conventions are maintained while driving compliant change across markets and teams for reliable activation, measurement and reporting.

Working across business, media, data and reporting teams, the Manager will chair governance, assess impacts, deliver guidance and train staff to improve adoption

Qualifications

  • Experience in taxonomy, metadata, data governance, information management or data quality.
  • Strong understanding of naming conventions, controlled vocabularies, data dictionaries and classification structures.
  • Experience operating change-control, approval and governance processes.
  • Ability to analyse compliance issues and coordinate corrective action.
  • Strong stakeholder management across business and technical teams.
  • Clear documentation, facilitation and written communication skills.
  • Experience managing specialists, analysts or an operational workstream.

  • Assess downstream impacts across planning, activation, creative workflows, data and reporting.
  • Confirm approved changes are implemented across relevant tools, datasets and reports.
  • Deliver practical guidance and training to improve adoption and correct usage.
  • Manage analysts or specialists, set priorities and assure work quality.
  • Use compliance trends and stakeholder feedback to improve governance processes.

Job description

Role purpose Own the day-to-day operation of a global marketing taxonomy governance service. The role maintains approved taxonomy and metadata standards, manages controlled change, monitors compliance and helps markets and delivery teams apply naming and classification standards consistently. Working across business, media, data and reporting teams, the Manager ensures taxonomy supports reliable activation, measurement and reporting.

Experience and capabilities
Essential
  • Experience in taxonomy, metadata, data governance, information management or data quality.
  • Strong understanding of naming conventions, controlled vocabularies, data dictionaries and classification structures.
  • Experience operating change-control, approval and governance processes.
  • Ability to analyse compliance issues and coordinate corrective action.
  • Strong stakeholder management across business and technical teams.

Desirable
  • Experience in media, marketing data, campaign operations or digital advertising.
  • Familiarity with campaign, placement, creative, asset or tracking taxonomies.
  • Exposure to planning platforms, data pipelines, validation tools or BI reporting.
  • Experience supporting multiple markets or regional teams.
