Job summary

Capstone Investment Advisors is seeking a UK-based accounting professional to join the management company accounting team, supporting EMEA entities including the Netherlands. You will prepare entries, reconciliations and reports, coordinating with external accountants and the US team.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in accounting or finance, a degree in accounting/finance, and is pursuing ACA/ACCA/CIMA; Excel and ERP familiarity are a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business preferred.
• Strong academic record; A-Level Mathematics preferred.
• 1-3 years experience in accounting, finance, audit or related financial services role.
• Part-qualified or working towards ACA/ACCA/CIMA; a plus but not required.
• Internship or professional accounting experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and interest in management company accounting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to identify discrepancies.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks with deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong dedication to quality, accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel.

Responsibilities

• Support the UK management company accounting team on processes and reporting for EMEA entities.
• Assist with posting and reviewing accounting entries for Netherlands and other EMEA entities.
• Prepare and maintain month-end reconciliations with supporting schedules.
• Coordinate with external accountants and local service providers for records and ledgers.
• Assist with Netherlands-related accounting and reporting tasks and filings.
• Support entity-level accounting for dividend and vested balance transactions.
• Assist with month-end close processes and follow-up items.
• Respond to statutory, regulatory and audit requests with required documentation.
• Help maintain controls around entries, reconciliations and tasks.
• Take on other accounting duties as business needs require.

Overview:

This professional will be a key member of the management company accounting team, supporting EMEA accounting processes, including accounting entries and reconciliations for the Netherlands and other EMEA entities. The role will also work closely with external accountants to ensure entries are posted accurately and on a timely basis, while collaborating with the wider Management Accounting team in the US.

Responsibilities and Impact:

• Support the Management accounting team from the UK on accounting processes, reporting requirements and recurring deliverables, with a primary focus on EMEA entities
• Assist with the accurate and timely preparation, review and posting of accounting entries for assigned entities, including the Netherlands affiliate and other EMEA entities
• Prepare and maintain month-end account reconciliations, ensuring balances are supported, reviewed and resolved on a timely basis
• Coordinate with external accountants and local service providers to support the preparation of local accounting records, including providing general ledger, trial balance and other supporting information as required
• Assist with recurring Netherlands-related accounting and reporting tasks, including support for local financial reporting, remuneration-related filings and other scheduled deliverables
• Support entity-level accounting for dividend, vested balance and similar transactions by preparing supporting schedules, coordinating approvals and ensuring related accounting entries are recorded accurately and on a timely basis
• Assist with the month-end close process, including coordination of journal entries, reconciliations, supporting schedules and follow-up items
• Assist with statutory, regulatory and audit-related requests for EMEA entities and limited other management company entities, including preparation of supporting documentation where required
• Help maintain strong controls around accounting entries, reconciliations, scheduled tasks and supporting documentation
• Other accounting and reporting duties may be assigned to meet business needs
