Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for 2 Management Accountants to join a global organisation in the Oldham area. This role offers an attractive salary range of £45,000 - £55,000 and provides the chance to work within a dynamic team that values collaboration. The successful candidates will have the responsibility for the day-to-day management accounting responsibilities and producing management accounts for the UK business and supporting where necessary, our USA business.

What you'll do:

As a Management Accountant, your role will be pivotal in maintaining the financial health of the organisation. You will be responsible for preparing and delivering key financial reports including month-end accounts, P&L, cash flow, and balance sheets. Your expertise will also be required in supporting annual budgeting and forecasting processes. Additionally, you will prepare group sales reports and manage accruals and prepayments of subsidiaries. Your role will extend to supervising payroll ensuring timely and accurate completion. You will also play a crucial part in completing annual audit deliverables.
  • Reporting to the Group Finance Director, preparing and delivering the month end accounts, P&L, Cashflow, Balance sheet
  • Supporting the annual budgeting and forecasting process
  • Preparation of the group sales report
  • Preparation of the Accruals and Prepayments of Subsidiaries
  • Population of monthly Management Information Packs in excel
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliation and resolution
  • Payroll supervision and responsibility for on time, accurate completion, checking and BACS commitment along with HMRC filing requirements
  • Completion of annual Audit deliverables pack along with ongoing timely information requirements during audit process - Q1 each year
What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Management Accountant position is someone who brings a wealth of experience in accountancy. You should hold professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA or ICAEW. Experience operating at management accountancy level in a multi-currency environment is essential. A background in manufacturing operations would be advantageous but not essential. You should be able to demonstrate the ability to self-manage your workload and have the flexibility to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines. Practical knowledge of balance sheet reconciliations and P&L is a must. Experience with Sage 300 or MS Dynamics would be beneficial.
  • Professionally qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or ICA) with a recognised accountancy qualification
  • Experience operating at management accountancy level in a multi-currency environment
  • Experience in manufacturing operations would be advantageous
  • Ability to self-manage workload
  • Flexibility to prioritise to meet deadlines
  • Practical knowledge of balance sheet reconciliations and P&L is essential
  • Experience with Sage 300 an advantage, although training will be given. MS Dynamics experience will also prove be useful
