Job summary

Addington Ball Limited in Bromsgrove is seeking a Management Accountant to join a growing team. You will prepare management accounts and financial reports for a varied client portfolio, review VAT returns and oversee bookkeeping quality, while building strong client relationships and supporting junior staff.

Qualifications

• Experience preparing management accounts within an accountancy practice.
• Confident preparing VAT returns and reviewing bookkeeping and VAT work.
• Qualified by experience or studying towards accounting qualifications (ACCA/ICAEW/ACA or equivalent).
• Familiar with Xero, IRIS or similar accounting software.
• Organised, approachable and keen to develop within a growing team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare management accounts and financial reports for a varied portfolio of clients.
• Prepare and review VAT returns.
• Review bookkeeping work, ensuring accuracy and high standards.
• Work closely with client managers to understand client requirements, deliver timely, accurate financial information and identify opportunities to provide additional client support.
• Support the training, development and mentoring of junior team members.
