Warwick Medical School's Finance team is seeking a Management Accountant to support the Finance Manager (Teaching) and manage the school’s largest cost area—salaries. The role covers salary reporting, NHS contracts and recharges for 500 staff, including jointly appointed clinical academics blending NHS clinical work with academic duties.

Qualifications

• Experience in supporting a university department with management reporting.
• Experience preparing management accounts and forecasts.
• Advanced Excel skills and data handling.

Responsabilités

• Own the salary recharge process to NHS trusts, accurately and on time.
• Manage the large salary grid behind recharges and advise on changes.
• Prepare quarterly management accounts and forecasts with variance explanations.
• Produce detailed accounts and financial reports for different activities, supporting teaching when required.
• Monitor approvals for new posts and extensions with the School's senior management.
• Advise academics on financial performance and the University's Regulations.
• Support audits and cost/benefit analyses as needed.
• Develop internal reporting and maximise SAP usage.
