Vanrath is recruiting a Management Accountant for a Newtownards-based public sector educational institution. You will lead monthly management accounts, support financial planning and advise budget holders.

You will oversee budgeting at department and College level, ensure timely reporting, and line-manage the Finance Business Partner. The role demands a fully qualified accountant with strong IT and stakeholder skills.

• Fully qualified accountant with membership of a recognised professional body.

About you

• Fully qualified accountant with membership of one of the recognised professional bodies (e.g., ICAI, ICAS, ICAEW, CIMA, ACCA, CIPFA, CPA)
• Minimum of two years' post-qualified experience in a large, complex organisation (minimum £25 million annual budget or 250 staff)
• Solid experience in management accounts preparation, budget development, and financial advising
• Excellent IT skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Strong communication skills to effectively influence senior and non-financial stakeholders
