Management Accountant in Manchester, United Kingdom (Hybrid)

Our Business Support teams deliver vital services to ensure the success of our business divisions, including HR, Finance, Procurement, Marketing, Legal, Estates and Facilities, Core Technology, Security, IT, and Fleet. Every team member contributes to our lasting impact, helping keep the nation's critical digital infrastructures connected and protected.

This role involves working closely with senior finance stakeholders to develop financial forecasts, deliver accurate reporting, and support decision-making. It also includes analyzing actual and forecasted results for projects and assisting senior finance leaders in meeting financial targets. This is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract.

What you’ll do:

1. Collaborate with the senior finance team to provide clear analysis for effective decision-making.
2. Assist in developing forecasts, and report on progress across cash, P&L, and balance sheet.
3. Prepare historic analysis by project, including month-end results, KPIs, and comparisons to forecasts/budgets.
4. Manage 2 direct reports.
5. Ensure area reviews for projects, working with operations to ensure accurate contract reporting and financial scrutiny.

Who you are:

A detail-oriented, organized, and customer-focused individual.

Key Requirements:

• ACA, ACCA, or CIMA part qualified.
• Experience in a business-facing finance role.
• Good communication skills.
• Proficient in Excel.
• Experience with Oracle, SAP, or other ERP systems.
