Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment Limited is seeking a Management Accountant (Part Qualified) on a 12-month contract in Gloucestershire. The role offers 35 hours per week with flexible hours across 5 days and an hourly rate of £26.59 to £33.11 (Umbrella/Inside IR35) depending on experience.

You will join a small finance team, support month-end, management reporting, reconciliations, and tax analysis, with exposure to overseas teams and ERP systems.

Qualifications

• AAT qualified or part-qualified and working towards ACCA, CIMA or ICAS
• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience supporting month-end accounts and reconciliations
• Ability to meet reporting deadlines

Responsibilities

• Support month-end accounting and preparation of management reports
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and ageing analysis
• Prepare accruals, maintain lease schedules and compile SOX control documentation
• Collate paperwork for external auditors and support year-end accounting and tax analysis
• Assist with government reporting and general finance activities
• Liaise with the shared service centre and overseas colleagues to resolve queries and maintain financial controls

Management Accountant (Part Qualified)

Gloucestershire, commutable from Gloucester, Stroud, Cheltenham, Stonehouse, Dursley and surrounding areas

12-month contract

35 hours per week, with flexible hours across 5 days

Are you an AAT-qualified or part-qualified Accountant with strong Excel skills? Are you looking for a varied, long-term contract where you can develop your accounting experience within an international engineering business?

This is an opportunity to join a four-person finance team, supporting month-end accounting, management reporting and financial controls. The role offers flexible working hours across a 35-hour week, alongside opportunities to broaden your knowledge through on-the-job training.

You will support the UK ledgers, preparing reconciliations, accruals and reports while working closely with senior finance colleagues and overseas teams. The position also involves supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.

The role would suit a collaborative accounting professional who enjoys variety, communicates well and can work accurately to tight deadlines.

The Role:

The Person:

• AAT qualified and working towards ACCA, CIMA or ICAS, or equivalent
• Experience supporting month-end accounts, preparing accruals and completing balance sheet reconciliations
• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills and knowledge of ERP systems
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet reporting deadlines
• A team player with good communication and organisational skills
