Role Overview

This is an accountancy role within the Payroll team. The team handles all aspects related to processing, accounting, and reporting of compensation components (payroll, bonus, tax, etc.) within the wider EMEA Finance team across TP ICAP in EMEA. It is a hands-on finance role suited to a self-starter with strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills. The role requires efficient work, quality assurance, and controlled delivery of information. It involves significant interaction with other key areas of finance and HR.

Role Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for the monthly end-to-end Compensation journal process, including accounting for monthly payroll, taxes, benefits, and bonus accruals.
  2. Assist business partners in reviewing compensation accruals and making relevant accounting bookings.
  3. Support payroll tasks such as uploading data to Payroll software (Workday) and running reports.
  4. Ensure all processes are documented and reviewed.
  5. Own balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring all balances match relevant calculations and records.
  6. Provide analysis to support cash flow forecasts and monthly balance sheet packs.
  7. Assist in preparing annual budgets and forecasts for P&L and Balance Sheet.
  8. Support the preparation of annual statutory accounts for the Group and EMEA entities.
  9. Maintain an effective risk and control framework.
  10. Handle compensation-related queries during year-end audits.
  11. Build and maintain relationships with the EMEA Finance Team, Group Finance, and external auditors.
  12. Undertake other reasonable duties as required.

Experience / Competences

Essential:

  • Part Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or Accounts Technician qualification.
  • Experience in detailed Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
  • Experience in delivering new reporting requirements and process changes.
  • Experience with Oracle and Workday preferred.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel (Advanced).
  • Understanding of accounting principles, GAAP, and IFRS.
