Job summary

We are currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Management Accountant to join the finance team based in Huntingdon.

We are a committed and focused team who pride ourselves on delivering an excellent standard of financial support and advice to both internal and external partners.

This rewarding role presents a unique opportunity to collaborate closely with service managers & clinicians, who are dedicated to providing the best patient care. The Older People & Community Directorate is made up from a variety of exciting & innovative teams, all of which offer the chance to have a direct impact in the services we can provide for our local population.

The post will be full time supporting the Older People's and Adult Community clinical directorate. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate a wide breadth of accounting experience and will show strong communication skills, including the ability to analyse, understand and communicate financial information to non-finance colleagues.

Main duties will include the timely production of monthly management accounts, forecasting, variance analysis, assisting in the costing of new service developments, and supporting the delivery of cost improvement plans.

The role also requires the post holder to maintain regular contact with budget managers, enabling them to accurately report and forecast financial information.
