Job summary

Michael Page is partnering with a fast-growing, acquisitive business in Stockport to recruit a Management Accountant. The role covers management accounts, financial controls, audit support and integration of acquisitions.

You will work on board/investor reporting, VAT and statutory reporting, and help to standardise processes across newly acquired entities, while developing in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with management accounting and variance analysis.
• Experience preparing or auditing management/statutory accounts.
• Strong Excel and finance systems skills.
• Proactive, detail oriented with stakeholder communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
• Support Board and investor reporting.
• Assist with annual audit and liaise with external auditors.
• Support VAT, statutory reporting and other compliance.
• Help integrate newly acquired businesses into Group processes and controls.

Description

You'll take responsibility for a broad range of finance activities, including:

• Preparing monthly management accounts across P&L, balance sheet, cash flow and variance analysis
• Supporting Board reporting and investor reporting
• Supporting the annual audit process and working closely with external auditors
• Assisting with VAT, statutory reporting and other compliance requirements
• Supporting the integration of newly acquired businesses into the Group
• Helping to bring acquired businesses into standard finance processes, systems and controls

Profile

You could be a newly qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant coming from practice, looking to make your first move into industry, or someone who has qualified in industry and has strong management accounting experience.

You'll ideally have:

• Experience preparing or auditing management and/or statutory accounts
• Strong technical accounting knowledge
• Good Excel and finance systems skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• A proactive and problem-solving approach
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with senior stakeholders
• The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment

Job Offer
