VanRath in Belfast is seeking a Management Accountant to drive financial accuracy, support operations, and deliver strategic insight in a fast-paced professional services environment. This role sits in the finance team and blends analysis with hands-on accounting.

You will prepare management accounts, variance analysis, and budgets, while collaborating with non-financial colleagues to translate data into actionable recommendations.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
• Proven management accounting, reporting, and analytical experience.
• Advanced MS Excel skills and familiarity with finance systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare management accounts and variance analysis for key stakeholders.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc reporting.
• Assist with reconciliations, payroll, VAT returns and statutory submissions.
• Provide flexible support across finance team roles and uphold internal controls.

About you

• Fully qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent accountant

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc financial reporting projects
• Manage billing activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness aligned with client requirements
• Assist with reconciliations, journal entries, payroll, VAT returns, and statutory submissions
• Provide flexible support across finance team roles, including coverage for accounts and credit control
• Uphold compliance with relevant regulations and internal controls
• Contribute to process improvements and support audit and compliance activities
