Job summary

The successful candidate will assist the Finance Manager, prepare management accounts and reports, and contribute to budget and reforecasting processes, while upholding professional standards.

Qualifications

• Qualified by experience considered or partially qualified.
• Solid accounting background in a commercial environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Complete various month-end tasks, including reconciling inter-company control accounts and balance sheet accounts by set deadlines.
• Reconcile monthly bank statements.
• Assist in implementing internal policies.
• Prepare accurate weekly flash reports and monthly Management Accounts within deadlines.
• Develop KPIs and management information to aid business decision-making.
• Maintain adequate and effective internal controls for operational efficiency.
• Complete timely statutory returns, including GST, IT IS, and Social Security.
• Maintain the Chart of Accounts, updating and amending when necessary.
• Support the development and maintenance of various IT systems.
• Review systems and procedures, offering suggestions for improvement.
• Assist the Finance Manager in preparing the annual statutory accounts within deadlines.
• Prepare the annual budget and associated reforecasts.
• Provide financial support to key operational staff and assist other team members with administration tasks when required.
• Undertake any other duties as requested by the Finance Manager.
