Your new company
Hays Accountancy & Finance are partnering with a globally renowned manufacturing business who, due to internal promotion, are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to support the Senior Management team with monthly management accounts to include stock valuations, production cost variances and other financial manufacturing data to improve margins and overall profitability.
Your new role
In this role as a manufacturing management accountant, you will report to the Financial Controller and take responsibility for producing detailed monthly management accounts, which will include variances in production costs vs forecast, balance sheet reconciliations and reviewing production schedules to maximise costs etc. As a finance professional with a manufacturing background, you will also prepare intercompany re-charges, journals, overhead cost analysis which will all be presented and discussed with key stakeholders along with labour production costs.
You will also work closely with the Financial Controller and Finance Director on the year-end audit as well as the production of statutory financial statements. The key aspects of the role will involve reviewing and improving processes, budgeting and accurate forecasting.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have proven experience of producing management accounts within the manufacturing sector as the purpose of the role involves providing accurate and useful financial insights on business performance as well as taking an active role in forecasting and cashflow management. It will be expected you will have experience of ERP systems and intermediate Excel.

Ideally, you will be a part-qualified CIMA/ACCA Accountant or qualified by experience with proven experience of producing financial reports in manufacturing, along with a proactive approach to problem-solving and working across all areas of the business.

The organisation offers a flexible benefits package with a salary of circa £35,000, hybrid working of 2 days at home and 3 days in the office, pension, 33 days' paid holidays and early shutdown on a Friday.
