Description: MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT - LUXURY RETAILER - UP TO £65K!

Your new company A high-end, luxury retailer is looking for a Management Accountant to join their finance team! The business has grown by 25% in the last year and has many exciting projects on the way, and therefore needs someone hands-on who can support the business growth. This role is a blend of management accounts, business partnering, small team management, and project support. There is potential for progression to Finance Manager within the next 2 years! The client is seeking Qualified Finance Professionals with Management Accounting experience—ideally within the retail, consumer, or product-led sectors.

Your new role Reporting to the Finance Manager, you'll be responsible for:

1. Ownership of Management Accounts
2. Month-end duties
3. Prepare and review variance analysis reports, comparing actual results against budgets and forecasts. Provide explanations for variances and assist in recommending corrective actions
4. Provide input into month-end activities with key commentary on movements and deep dives into problem areas
5. Managing a small finance team of 2 juniors
6. Supporting external audits
7. VAT & internal controls
8. Cross-functional business partnering
9. Ad-hoc project work
10. Proactively identify and implement areas for improvement

What you'll need to succeed

Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), with management accounting experience. Experience within the retail or consumer sectors is preferred, but candidates from other sectors are encouraged to apply. You should have the drive and motivation to lead a small team and support the company's growth. The role offers an opportunity for promotion to Finance Manager as the current Finance Manager advances.
