Job summary

New Avenues in Brighton is seeking a Management Accountant to join a growing finance team in a lively music and live entertainment setting. You will own the month-end close, deliver management accounts, and provide commercial insight to support decision-making.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, the role offers autonomy and a chance to shape financial processes within a creative, fast-moving environment. Office four days a week in Brighton.

Qualifications

• Experience in management accounting and month-end processes.
• Strong Excel and data interpretation skills.
• Experience communicating financial information to non-finance colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Manage full month-end process including accruals and prepayments.
• Prepare concert/event P&Ls and provide insights against budgets.
• Collaborate with promoters and operational teams to understand financial performance.
• Reconcile ticket sales, event income and settlements; investigate discrepancies.
• Oversee accounts payable activities and assist audit requirements.
• Support festival operations during peak periods and drive process improvements.
