Management Accountant

Location: Scunthorpe

Salary: up to £45,000 per annum

This role involves supporting the company's growth by delivering accurate financial analysis, driving cost efficiencies, and partnering with operational teams to optimize performance.

Role responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze monthly management accounts with detailed cost analysis and variance reporting
• Support operational teams with product costings, bill of materials (BOMs), and pricing strategies
• Develop and maintain standard costing models, identifying and addressing variances
• Prepare budgets and rolling forecasts, providing financial analysis to support operational decisions
• Monitor and report key financial metrics, including overhead recovery rates, efficiency variances, and margins
• Drive process improvements to enhance financial reporting and operational efficiency

Ideal candidate:

• CIMA Qualified / Part Qualified / Qualified by experience, with manufacturing experience considered
• Proven experience as a Management Accountant
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting
• Proficient in ERP systems
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of liaising effectively with both financial and operational teams
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality work
