Job Description:

Management Accountant in Ipswich, United Kingdom (Hybrid work model).

Our Business Support teams deliver vital services to ensure the success of our business divisions, including HR, Finance, Procurement, Marketing, Legal, Commercial, Estates, Facilities, Core Technology, Security, IT, and Fleet. Every team member contributes to our lasting impact, helping keep the nation's critical digital infrastructures connected and protected.

This role involves working closely with business and senior finance stakeholders to support financial forecasting, delivering accurate and transparent financial reporting, and analyzing results to support decision-making. It also includes providing concise analysis of actual and forecasted results for assigned projects and assisting senior finance leaders in driving actions to meet financial targets. This is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract.

What you’ll do:

• Collaborate with the senior finance team to provide clear analysis to support effective decision-making.
• Assist in developing forecasts, and measure & report on progress across cash, P&L, and balance sheet.
• Prepare accurate historic analysis by project, including month-end results, KPIs, and comparisons of actuals to forecasts/budgets.
• Manage 2 direct reports.
• Conduct area reviews for projects, working with the operations team to ensure accurate contract reporting, and scrutinize financial results.

Who you are:

Key Requirements:

• ACA, ACCA, or CIMA part-qualified.
• Previous experience in a business-facing finance role.
• Good communication skills.
• Proficient in Excel.
• Experience with Oracle, SAP, or other large ERP systems.
