Core3 is partnering with a not-for-profit organisation to recruit a Management Accountant in Bristol. The role blends strong technical accounting with meaningful financial analysis in a hybrid setup.

You will produce monthly management accounts, run month-end journals, and perform balance sheet reconciliations while partnering with budget holders to improve financial understanding. Study support is available.

Qualifications

• AAT qualified or currently studying towards ACCA or CIMA.
• Experience preparing management accounts and month-end journals.
• Strong understanding of balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls.
• Confidence producing variance analysis and financial commentary.
• Good Excel skills and experience using accounting systems.
• Ability to build positive working relationships with finance and non-finance colleagues.
• Strong attention to detail, with a practical approach to solving problems.
• Experience supporting audits and improving finance processes.

Responsabilités

• Produce accurate monthly management accounts, ensuring financial information is delivered on time.
• Prepare month-end journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Analyse financial performance, explaining variances and highlighting emerging risks.
• Support budgeting and forecasting by providing reliable financial information.
• Partner with budget holders to improve financial understanding and decision-making.
• Maintain effective financial controls and support compliance with accounting policies.
• Prepare audit schedules and assist with year-end reporting requirements.
• Monitor fixed assets and maintain accurate accounting records.
• Improve financial reporting, using Excel and finance systems to reduce manual work.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen processes and improve the quality of management information.
